Discover the Joy of Irish Traditional Music

As a child, I watched my parents dance in the kitchen to the lively rhythms of Irish traditional music. That music carried a spirit of its own – deeply rooted in our ancestors, the landscape, and the joy of shared experience.

Today, I share this tradition through music tuition for individuals and groups, with a particular focus on the fiddle, while also helping musicians of all instruments build repertoire, develop style, and connect more deeply with the living tradition of Irish music.

My teaching approach is shaped by my own experience as an adult learner, my doctoral research on enhancing the experience of playing music, and a openess to be a life long student. This allows me to evolve my methods and connect with each musician individually, helping them discover and express their own unique musical voice.

Alongside private tuition, I have been leading relaxed, welcoming music sessions for over four years, bringing together musicians of all instruments. In these sessions, I guide participants in building repertoire, developing rhythm, and strengthening the skills needed to join wider open sessions with confidence. Musicians also take part in group repertoire classes, where the tunes they learn are woven into the weekly sessions, creating a supportive, collaborative environment where everyone can play, connect, and grow their musical voice.
