About

Rooted in my home village of Mountshannon

On the quiet shores of Lough Derg, I live and work as an Irish traditional musician, composer, and producer.

For more than twenty years, I have followed a path shaped by music, community, and creative expression. This journey has taken me from co-ordinating festivals and curating arts projects to completing a Masters in Community Music, a Masters in Irish Traditional Music, and a practice-based PhD exploring a holistic way of engaging with our music.

Composing remains a central part of my work. My debut album, Beneath the Hedgerow (2020), featured The East Clare Jig and The Legacy,  the beginning of a growing catalogue now includes Walk with Me (2024),  Inis Cealtra (2025) and The Dawn Chorus (2026).

My work includes one-to-one fiddle tuition, group repertoire classes, mentorship on connecting with your music, annual Irish Traditional Music retreats in East Clare, special-occasion group workshops, festival masterclasses, and community music programmes. I have produced radio and podcast projects and contributed to a wide range of cultural events supported by Clare County Council.

Alongside my independent practice, I work with Music Generation Clare, Limerick & Clare ETB, and Minding Creative Minds.
